Cumbersome to flexible – Team 360° redesigns performance reviews! |

Across the world, employers are in search of tools that make the performance review an adaptable, accommodating and significant process.
And so it was for our client, a market leader in the field of radio advertising solutions in New Zealand . Our client approached Ascendus Technologies with the need to transform a cumbersome 360 degree feedback process into a flexible, easy to use, web-based tool, which could be used at the time of performance review discussions.
Ascendus was required to provide the client with a reporting feature, one that would allow reports to be accessed on the basis of organisational hierarchy. We then worked on a customised 360 degree feedback survey application. The solution we built, provided our client with several new and exciting features like:
-
A unique survey that was designed, keeping the employee structure in mind: Managers were given the right to access their direct reports only, while an administrator was given the right to monitor and manage all users.
- Tracking progress: Ascendus also developed a Progress Report that showed completion status of surveys, by people below in the chain of command
- At a glance: The solution came with a Summary Report that provided for a quick review of reports, after the surveys were completed for a particular employee.
- Seeing is believing: Since the reports were available in real time, employees were able to see their reports and the response status of their survey. Reports of Team360 became the basis of the performance review!
The end result? Team 360 turned out to be a popular tool which was received extremely well − with a response rate that was overwhelming when compared to a paper based survey. Small wonder then, that Team360 is heralded as an effective and powerful tool to use at the time of performance review discussions.
After the Ascendus experience, we had our client arriving at the same conclusion! After extensive researched on 360 tools that are currently available, our client was able to opt for the best option − Team360! An affordable solution that offers unique customization.
The ‘War for Talent’ during the turn of the century has resulted in a valuable lesson − that employees are a critical competitive advantage. Our client is winning this war, and is aided by the use of Team360 at the time of performance review discussion.
To be an employer of choice, a company needs to consider people its greatest asset. Ascendus helps you do so!

Team360° as a tool for Training Need Analysis (TNA) |

| |
Assessing an employee’s skill and behaviour during the recruitment process, at the time of appraisal or even during a development and training programme, can prove to be an important and effective tool. Our client, a major hospital from Canada , needed to do just that.
Ascendus was assigned with the task of designing a unique solution that would cater to the requirements of our client − a customised tool that would contain different question types (radio button, check box, drop down, free text box).
Ascendus emerged with an attractive tool that appealed to an employee taking the survey. The customised version of Team360 had more features to offer than its stunning look:
- Effective grouping − Question grouping helped to make the survey effective. This feature allowed the administrator to send out different questions from the same survey to different raters. Employees then received constructive feedback from a diverse array of raters, like peer, manager, direct reports, internal and external customers.
- Reminders − Weekly reminder emails were sent out to participants who had not completed the survey.
- Updates − A daily response rate update was sent to the administrator.
- Different dimensions, different reports − Ascendus churned out reports based on different dimensions of skill and behavioural assessment. This proved to be of great help to the client, and assisted in determining the specific training needs of a particular employee.
- Graphically speaking − Ascendus provided charts/graphs to help employees gauge their major areas of strength and improvement.
The list doesn’t stop here. Team360 continues to be the unique tool for Training Need Analysis, while B School graduates and executives in various industries are beginning to benefit from the training and education analysis.
